Excel 2007 - Intermediate
Move beyond the basics and take your Excel skills to the next level. The skills you will learn in this dynamic workshop will teach you many ways to make your job easier and increase the sophistication of your reports and data analysis.

In this two-day, hands-on workshop you will learn to use some of Excel’s more complex features such as 3-D references, worksheet protection, grouping and manipulating multiple worksheets, and tips for auditing your spreadsheets.

Prerequisites:
Assumes introductory knowledge/experience using Excel as defined by the Introduction to Excel workshop topics.

Topics Include:

  • Chart features (location, data source, trend lines, secondary axis, data labels and tables, series order
  • Exporting to Word and PowerPoint, importing from Access
  • Inserting drawing objects into worksheets and charts (connectors, shapes, WordArt, rotate, flip)
  • Format or Style? Which to use to get the look you want
  • Boost your productivity by customizing your toolbars
  • Creating named ranges
  • Unlocking the auditing and trace features to correct errors and avoid data corruption
  • Using If, CountIF, and SumIF functions
  • Protecting your worksheets
  • Using existing templates and creating your own
  • Hyperlinks (inserting and editing)
  • Avoid needless duplication by using 3D cell references to link spreadsheets
  • Grouping and manipulating multiple worksheets
  • How to sort, filter, subtotal your data lists
  • Special and custom number formats (SSN, leading zeros, create your own)
