Master the advanced tools and techniques that will put you in complete control of Word and all of its powerful features.

This is hands-on training at its most effective and efficient. You will expand your skill set by learning how to create and use timesaving macros, document links, and automated templates. You will also learn to create custom menus and how to use the Markup feature to track, compare, and comment on changes to a document.

Prerequisites:
Assumes intermediate knowledge/experience using Word as defined by the Intermediate Word workshop topics.

Topics Include:

  • Using the AutoFormat feature
  • Automate your everyday tasks by designing your own custom macros
  • Designing automated templates to save time and provide a uniform style
  • Creating custom menus
  • Enhancing documents with:
    • Cover pages and page borders
    • Table of contents, authorities, figures, and indexes
    • Watermarks
    • Gutter margins, mirror margins, and building practices and binding practices
    • Bookmarks and cross references
    • Highlights and comments
    • Advanced graphic effects
  • Generating embedded sound and video files
  • Linking multiple document styles
  • Tracking, comparing, and merging multiple document revisions
